Cricket World Cup 2023: NED vs BAN Fantasy Preview and Rummy Bo Top Picks

Match: Netherlands vs Bangladesh, Cricket World Cup 2023 (NED vs BAN)

Date: October 28, Saturday, 2.00 PM IST

Venue: Eden Gardens, Kolkata

Match 28 of the Cricket World Cup 2023 will be played in Kolkata’s Eden Gardens between Netherlands and Bangladesh. Both the teams have played five matches each, losing four and winning just one.

The Netherlands, still an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), may have lost four of their five games, but have given the opponents tough competition.  Their biggest achievement was to beat South Africa by 38 runs.

However, they lost by a massive 309 runs in their previous game against Australia. Despite four wickets by Logan van Beek, Netherlands conceded 399 runs, in response to which they were bowled out for less than 150 runs. However, Bangladesh can still not take them lightly.

The Bangla Tigers, on the other hand, conceded 382 runs against South Africa in 50 overs while taking only five wickets. During their chase, the team was bowled out for 233 in 46.1 overs. Mahmudullah’s remarkable innings of 111 was the standout performance for Bangladesh in the match.

Unfortunately, for both Bangladesh and the Netherlands, the chances to make the semifinal are nearly over. Not only will they have to win all their remaining games, but also depend on the results of other teams.

Ahead of the next game of the Cricket World Cup 2023, here is everything you need to know to maximize your chances of winning cash prizes on Rummy Bo fantasy.

Weather update and pitch report for NED vs BAN, Cricket World Cup 2023

This will be the first game of the Cricket World Cup 2023 in Kolkata. Surprising, only a solitary ODI has been played at this venue over the last six years. A relatively high-scoring game can be expected here. Batting first is a better option as the spinners become lethal as the game progresses. Overall, a total of 35 ODIs have been played here, from which the average first innings total reads 241. Teams batting first have won 20 of these matches. The highest total posted here was 404 for 5 by India in 2014.

The weather in Kolkata will be warm and humid with a maximum day-time temperature of 33 degrees Celsius.

Five players to watch out for

Here we list five players you must pick in your Rummy Bo fantasy XI for NED vs BAN, Cricket World Cup 2023.

Logan van Beek: bowler, Netherlands

The Netherlands has generally displayed strong bowling performances in the tournament. Logan van Beek has been the standout player in their bowling department. He has delivered consistent returns of 1/30, 3/60, 0/57, and 4/54 in the matches played so far, making him a reliable wicket-taker. Notably, he has also shown his ability to contribute valuable runs, exemplified by his impressive 59 against Sri Lanka, where he partnered with Sybrand Engelbrecht to build a substantial 130-run seventh-wicket stand.

Bas de Leede – all-rounder, Netherlands

The allrounder has picked up 19 wickets from his last nine games, including nine in five World Cup matches. His best performer came against Pakistan when he picked up four wickets and also scored a half century. In 35 ODIs for Netherlands, Leede has a batting average of 26.12 along with 33 wickets.

Shakib Al Hasan – all-rounder, Bangladesh

The Bangladesh team welcomed back Shakib Al Hasan on Thursday after his training sessions with a personal mentor in Dhaka. He will eager to turn around his inconsistent form in the past few matches. He has scored only 56 runs across four innings, while also picking up six wickets. Shakib was expected to be Bangladesh’s best performer in the tournament, but we are yet to see him deliver. But with the experience he brings to the table, a good show is just round the corner.

Mahmudullah – batsman, Bangladesh

Mahmudullah has been Bangladesh’s most consistent batsman in the last three matches. He scored an unbeaten 41 against New Zealand, 46 against India and 111 vs South Africa. He is also among the most experienced players in the Bangladesh team, having played 225 ODIs. Mahmudullah will now be looking for another big knocks against an associated team.

Litton Das – wicketkeeper batsman, Netherlands

Litton Das has scored two half centuries in the 2023 World Cup – 76 against England and 66 versus India. In 82 ODIs, he averages 32.79 and has been among the better performers for Bangladesh over the years.
