Riding on the economical exhibition from Rashid Khan, Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH) managed to get their first win in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as they prevented defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) from registering a hat-trick of triumphs and defeated them by a margin of 15 runs.
More than the batsmen, one could say it was the bowlers from both the team who did their part with exceptionally well and managed to restrict the scoring rate to quite an extent.

Spin wizard Rashid Khan played a big role in ensuring the Sunrisers’ conquest and it was much needed from his end, considering he was finding his form into the season. In the first match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), he ended with 0/31, while he had a slightly better day at work in the last outing versus Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as he scalped 1/25 in his four overs.

I bowled quicker today, when I started and bowled my first ball, I realized it. You need two-three balls to know what the right pace is. In these conditions, you need to bowl back of a length to the batsmen,” said Rashid, who was awarded the Man of the Match award for his numbing figures of 4-0-14-3 in the game against Delhi Capitals on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi.

The 22-year-old leg-spinner heaped praise on skipper David Warner and highlighted how the Aussie cricketer backs him in his bowling.
“Warner always backs me and tells me that you know what’s best for the team. Only when things aren’t going my way I go and ask the captain what to do. That’s what we discuss in the field,” he added.
Being put to bat first, the Men in Orange posted 162 runs on board; credits to the composed knocks by David Warner (45), Jonny Bairstow (53), and a quick-fire innings by Kane Williamson (41, 26b).
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals, in spite of the knocks from Shikhar Dhawan (34) and Rishabh Pant (28) couldn’t capitalize on the foundation, and the middle-order failure furthermore hampered their chances of winning.
