The 2023 edition of the Global T20 Canada is all set to get underway from July 20, and here’s where you can watch the tournament.
This will be the third edition of the tournament that was first launched in 2018. Since 2020, the league could not be organised due to the pandemic and its after effects. The league has secured some known stars from world cricket such as Andre Russell, Chris Gayle, Shakib Al Hasan, Shoaib Malik, Shahid Afridi and the former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh.
The Global T20 Canada 2023 will have six teams namely Vancouver Knights, Brampton Wolves, Montreal Tigers, Toronto Nationals, and newly introduced Surrey Jaguars and Mississauga Panthers.
Before the T20 extravaganza kicks off in Canada, here’s everything you need to know about the fixtures, how to watch the Global T20 Canada 2023 and top players to watch out for.

Global T20 Canada 2023 fixtures
The Global T20 Canada 2023 commences on July 20 night local time with a clash between Brampton Wolves and Mississauga Panthers. The group stage will consist of 21 matches and will be followed by four playoff fixtures. The tournament will conclude with the grand finale taking place on August 6.
As for the format of the Global T20 Canada, each team will play seven matches in the group stage. They will face three other teams once and two teams on two occasions. The top four sides on the points table will then advance through for the playoffs.
The entirety of the 2023 season is to be played at CAA Centre in Brampton. This is the second time Brampton will host the league.
The Indian viewers should note the time difference between India and Canada.

Where to watch the Global T20 Canada 2023 in India
For those living in India, there won’t be a television broadcast for the Global T20 Canada 2023. However, you can witness all the live action of the tournament on the online streaming service FanCode.
To watch the matches on FanCode, you must have a paid subscription. Top Players to watch out for in Global T20 Canada 2023
Colin Munro (Toronto Nationals)
The hard-hitting batter from New Zealand is one of the most experienced players in the T20 arena. Colin Munro has a stellar record in the format, having played all across the globe. He has amassed over 9800 runs in the format at an average of over 30 and strike rate of 142. The left-hander has five hundreds and 57 fifties in T20 cricket, and will be a key for Toronto Nationals.
Naveen-ul-Haq (Vancouver Knights)
Naveen-ul-Haq was in the thick of action, on and off the field, during this year’s Indian T20 League. He did an excellent job with the ball for his Lucknow franchise and has become one of the dependable bowlers in the T20 circuit. The Afghanistan speedster has 175 wickets in the shorter format at an economy of 8.09. Naveen-ul-Haq will be an important figure for Vancouver Knights.
Chris Lynn (Montreal Tigers)
The Australian powerhouse is one of the most destructive batters in the world. Chris Lynn has plenty of experience of playing in the leagues around the world. He has 7436 runs to his name in T20 cricket, averaging 32 at a strike rate of 143. Lynn has hammered five centuries and 48 half centuries. Montreal Tigers will have high hopes from the striker to get them off to great starts.
Alex Hales (Surrey Jaguars)
Alex Hales is one of the most successful batters in the shorter form of the game. The English batter has been a T20 specialist for a while, destroying bowlers for fun all over the world. He has scored over 11000 runs in T20 cricket, with a strike rate of 147 while averaging over 30. Hales has smashed five hundreds and 74 fifties in the format. He will leave early for the Hundred but will look to leave his mark on the league.
Azam Khan (Mississauga Panthers)
Azam Khan is one of the highly rated cricketers in Pakistan. While he hasn’t always been consistent, he has delivered some impactful performances. On his day, Azam can win matches single-handedly. In this year’s Pakistan T20 league, he had scored 282 runs from nine innings at an average of 40 while striking at 161. He will represent Mississauga Panthers and is one of the players to watch out for.
