Formerly known as the St Lucia Stars (2016-18), the St Lucia Zouks would be craving to get their hands onto the much coveted T20 title. For them, the desire deepens each season as they are yet to lift their maiden CPL trophy.
Their best performance was during the 2016 edition wherein they mustered 6 wins in 10 matches and made their way into the playoffs.
Last season, they finished at the fifth spot in the league stages with merely 3 wins to their name, out of which two came against Jamaica Tallawahs, and a solitary against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Not to forget, they had a rain abandoned match against Trinbago Knight Riders.
As far as CPL 2020 is concerned, there are a few areas of concerns for their unit.
South African players namely Anrich Nortje, Rilee Rossouw and Colin Ingram, will be missing out CPL 2020. The trio’s lack of travel arrangements to be in time in Trinidad by August 1 resulted in them being made unavailable for the entire tournament, as it was mandatory for the participating players to undergo 14-day quarantine before the T20 league commences.

Their absence would surely affect the team’s performance this season and now, with their key players nowhere in the picture, some of their experienced T20 campaigners would have to don the role of match-winners in the league stages.
Without any adieu, here are the 4 players from St Lucia Zouks to watch out for in CPL 2020
Mohammad Nabi
One of Afghanistan’s cricketing sensation, Nabi will be heavily banked upon to get those explosive 30s and 40s and couple wickets with his spin prowess.
Nabi plays in all major T20 tournaments held across the globe and so far has played in 258 T20s wherein he has amassed 3951 runs at a strike rate of over 140. He has been equally effective with the ball, having scalpee 255 wickets at average and economy of 23.55 and 6.98 respectively.
Daren Sammy
It would be a test for the two-time T20 World Cup winning skipper, considering his side lacks some of the finest limited overs cricketers. An aggressive middle order batsman who strikes at a rate of over 130, Sammy will have to take on the onus of getting those 6s and 4s in the death overs or play an anchor role if the top-order players are dismissed early on in the contest.
Andre Fletcher
Fletcher at the opening slot will be a massive role for the Zouks if they are vying to set a winning tone in the league stages.
A seasoned T20 campaigner who is third on the list of leading run-getters in CPL, Fletcher has been with the franchise since the inception of the Caribbean T20, and has amassed 1870 runs at an average of 31.16. The 31-year-old had a dry run in the previous edition and would be rearing to get back to scoring business in the upcoming season.
Rahkeem Cornwall
When a franchise has an all-rounder like Rahkeem Cornwall in their side, one would want him to bonkers from the very moment, be it as a batsman or a bowler. Cornwall possesses excellent eye-hand coordination which backed by gigantic physique makes the task of getting the big hits when needed. One such notable performance was during last season, when he struck a blistering 25-ball 51 comprising 4 fours and 5 sixes against Jamaica Tallawahs.
