The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian squad for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy set to be held in Australia from 17 November 2020 to 19 January 2021. The series will comprise three T20Is, three ODIs, and four tests, and will take place in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, and Brisbane.
Virat Kohli will be leading the side in all three formats. KL Rahul has been appointed dual responsibilities of vice-captain and wicket-keeper for the limited-overs while Ajinkya Rahane will don the vice-captain’s role in Tests.
Rishabh Pant has been sidelined for both ODIs and T20Is while Sanju Samson has been roped in as a second wicket-keeper for the shortest format.
Mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy gets his maiden T20I call-up. And not to forget, pacers Mohammed Siraj and Navdeep Saini have been picked for the longer format.

Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma suffered injuries during the IPL 2020 underway in UAE and thus, BCCI medical team will keep a check on their progress for the upcoming series.

Indian cricket team last toured Australia in 2018-19, wherein the sealed a 2-1 victory in the ODIs and drew the T20Is by 1-1. In Tests, the Virat Kohli-led side had won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by a margin of 2-1 and in doing so, the became the first Asian side to win a series in Australia.
